Carolina productions brings movie to USC before it's release date
The theater was filled to capacity with students interested to see the film before its May 13 release date and receive complimentary popcorn.
Third-year criminal justice student Charles Hazelwood said he considers himself a Wiig fan and saw her perform on "Saturday Night Live" in 2008.
"It was a small audience when I saw her, but ever since then I've been a huge fan," he said.
First-year business student Emily Craft accompanied Hazelwood to the screening.
"I'm just excited to see it before everyone else does, and I think it will be really funny," Craft said.
Carolina Productions hopes the early screening will be the first of many.
"Hopefully this will be an indicator of the kind of events we can hold in the future," said vice-president of Internal Affairs Sarah Jordan.
The comedy was directed by Paul Feig and is rated R for strong sexuality and language.
