"Nature Scene" host gives tour of Horseshoe
In Tuesday's talk on the Horseshoe, he focused on behavioral differences in local animals created by climate change, including migration that will be observable in this transition from winter to spring. A crowd of older Carolinians attentively listened to Mancke's talk, which intertwined stories from both biology and his own childhood. In between laughs he showed off snakeskins, a special breed of wasps and a small turtle, all of which acted as visual aids for the connections he was trying to express.
