Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia hosts annual race
On Saturday, they came wearing bow ties — and gym shorts.
Starting near the Horseshoe, runners looped around campus Saturday morning in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia’s Annual Bow Tie Run, making their way toward the Thomas Cooper fountain.
The run kicked off last year to honor Andrew Sorensen, USC’s 27th president, who also served on the organization’s board and was well-known for his bow ties and genial, approachable personality. The charity pairs at-risk youth with mentors around the community.
