The sound of scripture and passionate sermons echoed down Greene Street and around Russell House Wednesday afternoon. Members of Rock of Ages Ministries shouted Bible verses and handed out fliers to students walking past Thomas Cooper Library.
Even through the onset of the rain in the afternoon, the members of Rock of Ages made their message known to passing students. During breaks in the sermons, the members of Rock of Ages sang hymns like “Amazing Grace.”
Though the men were passing fliers, many students did not accept them. Some students even avoided the men, opting for a different route to their destinations.
Rock of Ages Ministries is a Christian organization based in Cleveland, Tenn. They make appearances at college campuses throughout the nation as well as public schools and military bases.
