One of the two large stone lions that flanks the doorway of the Alpha Delta Pi house has been stolen, the sorority’s president said.
The statue is valued at about $1,500 and was reported stolen to USC’s Division of Law Enforcement and Safety around 5 p.m. Monday. It is unknown how the thief or thieves removed the large feline from its pedestal in Greek Village.
The perpetrator has not been found, but a call box outside of the house may have captured video of the theft, according to a police report.
In October, two Beta Theta Pi fraternity composite pictures and one Delta Zeta sorority composite picture were also stolen from the organizations’ houses. The three were valued at $12,000 by police.
