Police responded to reports that an individual was shot around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday on the corner of Lincoln and Gervais Street. Police blocked off Lincoln Street outside Liberty Tap Room. The victim was covered in a white sheet and first responders did not attempt to resuscitate. According to WIS, Columbia Police determined the incident was a suicide. The identity of the victim has not been released.
