Registered sex offender allegedly followed female student

A registered sex offender was arrested by USC police for allegedly following a female student Thursday evening, according to a report by The State.

The female student contacted USC police when she noticed a man following her while walking to her car near Senate and Pickens streets. USC police found 40-year-old Edwin Arnold Davis walking out of a bush, and he admitted to following the student.

Davis has since been banned from the USC campus after being charged with breach of peace. A crime bulletin was also issued online by USC police. If Davis is seen on campus, call police or use the RAVE Guardian app immediately.

Davis' criminal record includes charges of sexual assault, trespassing, aggravated voyeurism, armed robbery and unlawfully carrying a firearm.
