Brandon McIlwain, a sophomore quarterback for South Carolina's football team and an outfielder for the baseball team, announced Wednesday that he is transferring.
McIlwain released his decision via Twitter late this afternoon.

McIlwain didn't announce his next step, or any information in regards to what he plans to do in the future.
This football season, McIlwain played in eight games for the Gamecocks, making three starts. He threw for 600 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 127 yards and two touchdowns.
He came into this baseball season ranked as the No. 47 best overall sophomore in the nation by Perfect Game.
