Yonder Field, a new outdoor concert venue coming to Bowman, South Carolina, has announced its first music festival, “Bowman Bound,” set for May 27.
The festival’s headliners include Dr. John, Phillip Phillips and Uncle Kracker with Edwin McCain, Villanova and Trae Pierce & The T-Stones set as openers. Camping and VIP pre-sale tickets will become available starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 12. General tickets will become available at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 14.
Camping access will be sold in two, four and six-pack bundles with a festival ticket and a $45 camping pass. Seats will cost $159, general admission will cost $59 and lawn spots will be $20. Tickets will be available at www.ticketfly.com.
Dr. John is a Grammy Award-winning pianist, guitarist and singer who has been a shaping force in New Orleans R&B and rock throughout his career. He has received numerous awards and acknowledgements for his music, such as getting inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2011.
Phillip Phillips is the winner of season 11 of American Idol and saw great success afterward with his debut album “The World from the Side of the Moon” going platinum and debuting at no. 4 on the Billboard Top 200.
Uncle Kracker has had a successful career featuring many chart-topping songs like “Follow Me,” “In A Little While” and collaborations with artists like Kenny Chesney in “When The Sun Goes Down.”
In preparation for the festival, Yonder Field will also be holding a job fair on Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in order to hire security, campground and parking assistants, production assistants, site crews and other positions needed. Internships and volunteer opportunities are also available and will be brought up on Saturday.
People looking to attend the fair will convene under the pavilion at Yonder Field, which is located at 180 Log Cabin Road, Bowman, S.C. 29018.
