The student senate met Wednesday for its second weekly meeting of the fall semester. Here's what you missed:
- Speaker of the Student Senate Davis Latham moderated the meeting and confirmed new senators.
- The senate passed a resolution to show on Self Service Carolina which classes have open educational resources (OER) when students sign up for classes. Professors can apply to have open educational resources in their class, which may be textbooks or other materials. If a student signs up for an OER class, they will not have to pay for these materials. Now, when signing up for classes, students can see which classes have open educational resources.
- Athletic committee members said $1 water bottles will be sold at football games after the third quarter.
The student senate meets at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays in the Senate Chambers on the third floor of Russell House.
