Playlist: U.K. indie essentials from the headphones of a Scottish exchange student

The U.K. indie scene is growing faster than ever and as a Scottish exchange student at USC, it is my duty to share some of the best up-and-coming artists in the indie scene from across the pond.

The likes of Circa Waves, Sea Girls, Inhaler and The Snuts are most likely to be heard during the summer festival season. Blossoms and Sam Fender are amongst the "new indie" collection that I really discovered in lockdown, where I needed the upbeat synths of Blossoms to push through the months of quarantine.

The last element to this playlist is older bands, such as The Kooks, James, Razorlight, The Vaccines and Belle and Sebastian, which are childhood staples that will never get old, and you are guranteed to here them at any indie club night.

And finally, this wouldn't be a U.K. playlist without some artists from my neck of the woods. Enjoy songs from Gerry Cinnamon, Belle and Sebastian and The Snuts.
