ESPN's College GameDay will return to Colonial Life Arena for the third time since 2022.
The announcement comes after the Gamecocks women's basketball team defeated the then No. 5 Texas Longhorns 67-50 Sunday afternoon.
The premier college basketball pre-game show featuring Elle Duncan, Andraya Carter and Chiney Ogwumike will air ahead of South Carolina's Southeastern Conference matchup on Jan. 23 against the No. 5 LSU Tigers. This will be the show's first stop in their trip of five matchups for 2024-2025 season for the women's basketball edition of the show.
It will be the third time the basketball pre-game show has come to Columbia and the program's fifth appearance on the show, the most of any school.
The two programs appeared on College GameDay last season when the pre-game show traveled to Baton Rouge on Jan. 25 where the Gamecocks won 76-70 against the LSU Tigers. The show also traveled to Columbia later in the season when South Carolina faced the Georgia Bulldogs on Feb. 18.
The Tigers head into the matchup 19-0, having recently beat Vanderbilt on Monday to stay as one of three undefeated teams in women's college basketball.
GameDay will be hosted inside Colonial Life Arena and will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday on ESPN. The Gamecocks will tip off against the Tigers at 8 p.m. following the show also on ESPN.
