Playlist: Pre-finals crashout

The weeks between spring break and final exams seem to be a repetitive cycle of long days, late nights and a seemingly never-ending list of assignments to complete. As students approach the last week of classes, they may be feeling the mental burden of exams, projects, papers, presentations and other assignments whose due dates have crept up rather abruptly. With the lurking possibility of crashing out, sometimes all anyone needs is a good way to wind down.

Filled with easy-listening songs, this playlist is perfect for days spent rotting in bed, or late nights spent studying on the first floor of the Thomas Cooper Library. Indie artists like New Constellations, The Marías and Local Natives provide a sense of calm in the midst of the chaotic close to the semester.

For students who feel they are stuck in a crashout there may be no escape from: Remember, it’s okay to take a break, it’s okay to make time for yourself and you can keep pushing through.
