PHOTOS: Gamecock women's soccer advances in NCAA tournament

The University of South Carolina women's soccer team has advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament after a 6-0 victory over East Carolina University on Nov. 15, 2024. The Gamecocks experienced many major moments in this game. Freshman forward Katie Shea Collins had a hat trick, fifth-year forward Catherine Barry broke the all-time record for goals in a career and fifth-year goalkeeper Taylor Fox scored her first career goal. The six goals scored by the Gamecocks are the most in an NCAA game since they played Alabama State in 2016. The Gamecocks are now set to take on Minnesota in the second round of the tournament.
