PHOTOS: South Carolina softball remains undefeated this season after going 4-0 in Garnet and Black Invitational

During the 2025 Garnet and Black Invitational, the South Carolina softball team dominated, starting the season 15-0, its best start in Gamecock softball history. Starting with a Friday night win against the Boston University Terriers, the Gamecocks won 9-1 in its eighth run rule victory of the season. The team carried the winning streak through Saturday in an 8-0 in run rule fashion in the first game of its doubleheader, besting the Terriers again. Saturday night, the Gamecocks defeated the Fordham Rams 9-1, making it the ninth run rule victory in a row for the Gamecocks and 10 total for the season. To close out the weekend, the Gamecocks extended its winning streak to 15 wins for the best record in Gamecock softball history with a 9-4 win over the UNLV Rebels on Sunday afternoon. The next South Carolina softball game is set for Tuesday as they take on the Charlotte 49ers in Charlotte, NC. The first pitch is set for 5 p.m. and the game will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
