The annual St. Pat’s in Five Points event returned for the first time after two years this weekend to celebrate its 40-year anniversary, bringing with it one of the largest events in Columbia and South Carolina. "La belle Hélène" is a comic opera, sung in French, that parodies the story of Hélène’s elopement with Paris, which ignites the Trojan War. The cast consists of undergraduate and graduate students that have been working to open the show on Feb. 25 since last fall.
