South Carolina football rides explosive plays to victory over Missouri

The No. 21 South Carolina football team used explosive plays on offense to defeat the No. 23 Missouri Tigers on Saturday. Redshirt freshman quarterback LaNorris Sellers had a strong day through the air, and the Gamecocks overcame struggles on third and fourth down to pick up another win over a ranked opponent.


The No. 21 South Carolina Gamecocks took down the No. 23 Missouri Tigers in its second-to-last home game of the season on Nov. 16, 2024, at Williams-Brice Stadium. The Gamecocks defeated the Tigers 34-30, bringing its season record to 7-3 (5-3 SEC). South Carolina only have two more regular-season games left. Next weekend, the team will take on Wofford College in its last home game of 2024, and then it will head on the road to take on No. 20 Clemson on Nov. 30.

No. 21 South Carolina football defeats No. 23 Missouri Tigers in fourth-quarter battle

The No. 21 South Carolina football team defeated No. 23 Missouri on Saturday night at William-Brice Stadium. The Gamecocks pulled away from the Tigers in the first half, preventing its opponent from scoring a touchdown. But coming out of half time, Missouri came back taking over the lead from South Carolina. The Gamecocks managed to steal its first win in six years against the Tigers in the final minute of the game.
