South Carolina athletic programs secure commitments from prospective athletes on Early National Signing Day

Gamecock Athletics saw an uptick in recruiting activity during late November and early December of this past year, as numerous incoming freshman prospects across multiple sports made their commitments to South Carolina official. With football's Early National Signing Day falling on Dec. 4, here's where the school's football and basketball teams currently stand in terms of recruiting for the 2025-26 season.

The No. 1 South Carolina women's basketball team defeated the Coppin State Eagles on Thursday night 92-60. Sophomore guard MiLaysia Fulwiley scored 23 points, while junior forward Chloe Kitts scored 19 points and recorded 10 rebounds.

The No. 1 South Carolina women's basketball team survived its season opener with a narrow 68-62 victory over Michigan on Monday night. Despite a strong performance from junior forward Chloe Kitts, the Gamecocks were plagued by inefficient shooting and playmaking, which kept the score close throughout the game.
