The No. 2 South Carolina women’s basketball team beat the Georgia Bulldogs 75-42 on Thursday night. The win brings the Gamecocks to 10-0 in SEC play, and 22-1 on the season. A total of 11 Gamecocks scored, led by sophomore guard MiLaysia Fulwiley with 13 points.
The South Carolina men’s basketball team fell to 0-8 in the SEC and 10-11 overall, extending their worst start to conference play in program history after Tuesday’s 71-60 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.
Junior outsider hitter Jolie Cranford played both indoor and beach volleyball during her childhood before attending the University of South Carolina. After two years with the Gamecock beach volleyball team, she will return to the court and transition into playing for the school's indoor volleyball team.
The South Carolina women's basketball team gained three players for the 2024-2025 season. During their first series of practices, the athletes acknowledged the team-first mentality required by the Gamecocks while emphasizing personal development.
