The South Carolina men’s basketball team extended its win streak to five after defeating Georgia 72-62 in Athens on Saturday. The Gamecocks are now 19-3, 7-2 SEC and will look to become ranked for the first time this season.
The South Carolina Gamecocks defeated the East Carolina Pirates on the road despite foul trouble down the stretch. The bounce-back win puts South Carolina at 8-1 with four games left before SEC play begins in January.
Offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said Spencer Rattler has been a leader for South Carolina and played strong through the first four games. Rattler and the Gamecocks are preparing for a rematch of last year's upset over Tennessee, where Rattler threw for 438 yards and six scores.
