Hello from the newsroom! Welcome to the original and better USC. In your hand is a copy of the editorially independent student paper at the university.
And so the cycle begins again. Moving in, catching up with friends, syllabus week, long nights working on a project or studying for a test and then it all closes with finals. But with every semester, the cycle is constantly broken with new peers and adventures.
I’m sitting at the Editor-in-Chief’s desk. It’s still weird to call it mine. This is honestly the first writing piece I’ve done for The Daily Gamecock and this is my sixth semester here.
