As the last weeks of spring semester begin to wrap up, students are preparing for their last exams and papers before a couple months of freedom. While finals can be an overwhelming time for all, the idea of being on the sandy beaches with the sun on their skin can bring hope and promise to students facing an insurmountable amount of stress. These beachy tunes will be sure to help students relax so they can finish off the semester strong.

7 study spots to help prepare you for finals season

As the end of the year rolls around, it can be a high-stress time for a lot of us. The Thomas Cooper Library fills up fast, and students begin to lack motivation to study and finish the year out strong. To help keep things interesting, here are seven study spots in and around campus so students can change up their routine and prepare for finals.

South Carolina's only LGBTQIA+ bookstore faces financial troubles, runs risk of being shut down

Columbia's only queer bookstore, Queer Haven Books, offers a sense of community to queer people searching for a safe space. However, the store is facing serious financial troubles and may run the risk of losing that community. Customers told The Daily Gamecock they are scared of what this would do to those who rely on Queer Haven Books to feel welcomed and cherished.
