The South Carolina Gamecocks women's soccer team defeated Alabama 4-1 on Tuesday night, securing a victory to advance to the semifinals of the SEC Tournament where they will face Mississippi State.
The South Carolina men's basketball team defeated head coach Lamont Paris' alma mater, the College of Wooster, 89-60 in the team's preseason match at Colonial Life Arena on Wednesday. Thirteen different players stepped out onto the court for the Gamecocks during the game.
Gamecock men's soccer has 13 international players on its roster for the 2024 season, with some having made major contributions to the team. The Daily Gamecock spoke with a few of the team's players and head coach Tony Annan to see what made them interested in coming over to the U.S. to get involved with collegiate soccer.
