The Gamecocks took on Stetson on Feb. 28, 2023, and North Carolina on March 1, 2023. The team lost 4-3 to the Hatters but claimed a 9-1 win over the Tar Heels, giving the Gamecocks a 15-2 record so far this season. The win against UNC marks head coach Beverly Smith's 400th career win with the Gamecocks.

Head coach Beverly Smith earns her 400th career win as the Gamecocks split its midweek series against Stetson and North Carolina. South Carolina lost its 14-game winning streak against Stetson but started a new one with the UNC win.
